MIT is regarded as the world's preeminent engineering school; what few may know is that its music program rivals many conservatories — in fact, Radius's own, clarinetist Eran Egozy, earned degrees in electrical engineering and music from MIT. Eran, creator of the popular video games Guitar Hero and Rock Band, is now Professor of the Practice in Music Technology.
Radius Ensemble is delighted to present this special concert, which includes works by MIT's renowned faculty composers, in the gorgeous new Thomas Tull Concert Hall, as part of the inaugural season of the Edward & Joyce Linde Music Building at MIT. The program features works by MIT-affiliated composers Charles Shadle, Elena Ruehr, Keeril Makan, and Evan Ziporyn.
Located steps from Mass Ave, behind Kresge Auditorium, the new concert hall is a theater in the round, with superb acoustics and full amenities. Click here for parking and dining options in the vicinity.
This concert is presented as part of Artfinity, an Institute-sponsored event celebrating creativity and community at MIT. Artfinity is organized by the Office of the Arts.
