After a season of virtual events, Radius Ensemble returns to live, in-person performances at Longy's Pickman Hall for its twenty-third concert season, a gathering of four programs that examine our post-COVID world. Kinesphere investigates our sense of space with Jonathan Bailey Holland's Intimacy of Harmony and Jennifer Higdon's Dark Wood alongside works by André Previn and the great Astor Piazzolla, in celebration of his centenary. Vistas features a world premiere by Elena Ruehr, along with works by Morton Gould, Evan Williams, and Pulitzer Prize-winner Kevin Puts. Olivier Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time inspires the world premiere of Marti Epstein's Abîme des oiseaux in Revelation. Lastly, Boundaries features Valerie Coleman’s Rubispheres alongside works by Nino Rota, Tōru Takemitsu, and Charles Ives.
Please note: tickets will not be available at the door. Masks, as well as proof of vaccination, will be required. Please click here for our Covid Safety Plan and information about our new Livestream Pass
