Covid Safety Plan
If we've learned anything since this pandemic began, it's that nothing compares to sitting in a dark concert hall and experiencing live music with other enraptured music lovers! We musicians are longing for your presence, too. But we are committed to being together safely, so have created the following policy for the coming season to help protect one another.
We welcome your feedback. Don't hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns. We can't wait to see you!
All Radius Ensemble performers (members and guest artists) are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of May, 2021, as are Longy students and concert staff (stage managers, ushers, page turners, etc.) as of July, 2021.
Longy will require all concert goers to present proof of vaccination. Furthermore, all attendees must pre-register; there will be no sales at the door. When you purchase your tickets, please ensure that everyone in your party is vaccinated. We will check your vaccine card upon arrival at Pickman Hall beginning at 7:30.
We strongly encourage you to bring a digital copy of your vaccine card rather than the real thing. Here are some tips for how to store and quickly access your vaccine record on your smartphone. At this time, we do not anticipate requiring our patrons to use a particular app, though that may change as Longy's policies change.
Masks will be required indoors at all times.
Performers will be masked when not on stage.
Intermission and Reception
Intermission will be brief. There will be no reception; however, musicians will join audience members for a short meet-and-greet outdoors following the performance. Due to potential close proximity, albeit outdoors, masks are recommended.
For the first time, we will offer a livestream pass for a flat $15 per household per concert. You will receive a concert link via email instantly upon purchase, as well as a download link to a smartphone-optimized concert program booklet. Please note that the livestream pass is not an on-demand link but rather a live broadcast of the concert in real time; due to licensing requirements, the livestream will not be available after the concert has concluded, and cannot be downloaded or recorded.
We encourage anyone who feels unwell or who may have been exposed to Covid-19 to stay home, and have relaxed our return policy accordingly. Let us know by noon the day of the concert and we will refund your ticket(s) or exchange them for a livestream pass and refund the difference.
This information is current as of September 1, 2021. We will modify this plan as CDC recommendations, Massachusetts regulations and Cambridge mandates change.
