Sarah BobSarah Bob, piano, called “first class” by the Boston Globe, is an active soloist and chamber musician noted for her colorful playing and diverse programming.  Considered a “trailblazer when it comes to championing the works of modern composers and combining art media in the process” (Northeast Performer), she is the founding director of the New Gallery Concert Series, a series that combines new music and new visual art along with their creators, and an original member of Primary Duo and Firebird Ensemble. Sarah has won awards ranging from Holland’s International Gaudeamus Competition to Boston’s St. Botolph Club Foundation and can be heard on the Tzadik and Cauchemar labels.  Her new solo piano CD The Old Photo Box on NLM with music by Lior Navok is now also available.


Miriam BolkoskyMiriam Bolkosky, cello, appears nationally as an orchestral and chamber musician.  She has performed with Opera Boston, Boston Lyric Opera, A Far Cry, Boston Pops, BMOP, Berkshire Opera, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, National Lyric Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and orchestras in New York, Washington, and Chicago.  As a chamber musician, she has performed with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Cassini Ensemble, and the University of Michigan Faculty Chamber Players, and is a member of the Ann Arbor based Phoenix Ensemble.  She has appeared as soloist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Paul Hill Chorale, and on classical and popular commercial recordings.  Miriam has held faculty positions at Northwestern, the Music Institute of Chicago, and the Cleveland Institute of Music.


Sarah BradySarah Brady, flute, called “enchanting” (Boston Globe) and “clairvoyantly sensitive” (New Music Connoisseur), is principal flute with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project and Opera Boston, and appears with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Ballet, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Firebird Ensemble, Boston Musica Viva, and the Michigan-based Brave New Works.  She has premiered and recorded new music from many of today’s leading composers, including new music commissioned by Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project.  Sarah recently enjoyed a sold out debut at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall with pianist Oxana Yablonskaya. Her chamber and orchestral recordings can be heard on the Albany, Naxos, Oxingale and Cantalope labels. Sarah teaches at Boston Conservatory and the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.


Eran EgozyEran Egozy, clarinet, hailed as “sensitive and energetic” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), leads the dual life of entrepreneur and musician. He is the co-founder and chief technical officer of Harmonix Music Systems, which developed Guitar Hero, Rock Band, The Beatles:Rock Band, and Dance Central. In 2008, Eran and his business partner were named to Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in the world. In 2009, they received Fortune Magazine’s “40 under 40″ award, and in 2010, they were honored with USA Network’s “Character Approved” award. Eran holds degrees in electrical engineering and music from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he conducted research on combining music and technology at the MIT Media Lab. Eran studied clarinet with Jonathan Cohler and William Wrzesien. He has performed as soloist with the MIT Symphony Orchestra, as a freelancer in the Boston area, and has collaborated with David Deveau, Marcus Thompson, and Evan Ziporyn. Eran has been a member of Radius Ensemble since 2001.


Anne HowarthAnne Howarth, horn, is a freelance horn player and chamber musician, appearing regularly in area ensembles including the woodwind quintet Vento Chiaro, the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, Hartford Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Boston Pops, and Boston Symphony Orchestra. She appeared with Yo-yo Ma’s Silk Road Project in 2000.  Anne is not only a founding member of Radius Ensemble, but also serves as its outreach director. She teaches horn and coaches chamber music at Tufts University, maintains a private studio, and is on the horn faculty of the Brookline Music School and the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Anne studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich and holds degrees from Oberlin College, Oberlin College Conservatory, and New England Conservatory, from which she received a Master of Music degree in 1999.


Jae Young Cosmos LeeJae Young Cosmos Lee, violin, hailed as “beguiling” and “bursting with color” (Boston Globe), is concertmaster of New Hampshire’s Camerata New England and a founding member of A Far Cry, the chamber orchestra in residence at the Gardner Museum. He is also assistant concertmaster of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and has been a guest artist with the Audubon Quartet, Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, ECCO and the Firebird Ensemble. He is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, and has performed in many of the finest music festivals including Aspen, Chautauqua, Norfolk, Sarasota, Banff, Seoul, Scotia, New South, Salzburg, Prussia Cove and Kneisel Hall. Jae holds degrees from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and the New England Conservatory and has been heard on Performance Today, Boston’s WGBH and Maine and Vermont Public Radios.


Jennifer MontbachJennifer Montbach, oboe, is the founder and artistic director of Radius Ensemble.  She has been lauded for her programmatic vision that has “attracted a  younger, more diverse audience” (Boston Globe), as well as for the “evocative lyricism and nuanced phrasing” of her performances (Bay Windows).  She has appeared with orchestras and ensembles throughout New England, including the Portland (Maine) Symphony, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Orchestra of Indian Hill, Composers in Red Sneakers, and the Harvard Group for New Music, and has held positions in development and marketing at the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project.  She holds degrees from Harvard College and New England Conservatory


Gregory NewtonGregory Newton, bassoon, has appeared with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under Keith Lockhart, John Williams, and Harry Ellis Dickson, and has performed as principal bassoon with the Boston Ballet Orchestra, the Boston Lyric Opera, and the Rhoda Island Philharmonic, among others. Gregory is a founding member of the Prometheus Chamber Ensemble, as well as North Winds, a woodwind quintet that performs as part of the Young Audiences of Massachusetts program. He is a graduate of New England Conservatory, where he studied with Sherman Walt, then principal bassoonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Gregory has appeared as soloist with numerous ensembles, including the Boston Classical Orchestra and the Granite State Symphony, and can be heard in recordings on the A&M, IPM Masterworks, Northeastern, and Gasparo labels.
