Radius Ensemble, winner of a 2013 CMA/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, is undertaking our most ambitious and adventurous project since our founding in 1999. We have commissioned a new work for each concert in our 2015-16 subscription series at Longy. These riveting new compositions will anchor carefully curated programs that balance old and new, with works ranging from classical masterworks to enthralling new music – brilliantly performed by the best musicians in Boston.  This season will be a thrilling and fresh exhibition of Boston’s artistic talent, fostering a community of understanding between composers, performers, and concert goers.

And it doesn’t stop there. With your support, we will record each new work at WGBH’s internationally renowned Fraser Performance Studio and release our first commercial recording. We are calling this project – both the concert season and our world premiere recording – FRESH PAINT, but to pull it off we need your help. In addition to staging four concerts at Longy’s Pickman Hall, FRESH PAINT requires funds to commission and record each new work. Please join us in supporting this innovative project.

With your donation to the FRESH PAINT project, you become a vital part in the process of bringing new works of art to life. Your generous support not only makes these commissions possible, it also affirms the importance of innovative and engaging new music. FRESH PAINT is a wonderful opportunity for the Radius community – musicians, composers and fans alike – to share in this affirmation.  Purchase a subscription and add a tax-deductible donation to your order with just a few clicks.  If you would like to make a leadership gift, please contact us via email or call 617-792-7234.
